The Challenge
This week's challenge is to give a specific word of encouragement 5 out of the next 7 days to five friends or co-workers each day. If possible have your word of encouragement attach appreciation to a specific attitude, action or character quality portrayed by the individual.
This week's challenge is to give a specific word of encouragement 5 out of the next 7 days to five friends or co-workers each day. If possible have your word of encouragement attach appreciation to a specific attitude, action or character quality portrayed by the individual.
- Examples of attaching specifics to words of encouagement - "Jack, I like your sense of humor." "Joe, I appreciate you helping me out with this." "Jane, that took some courage to apologize for that."
- Good words, but could have more meaning if more specific - "Jack, you rock!" "Joe, you're a stud!" "Jane, your cool."
Also, write down five character qualities you appreciate about each of your five friends and/or co-workers.
